About the PHN

The Pro Hockey Network is the idea of a few hockey players, formerly of the Stevens Leafs recreational hockey franchise. It all came about because all of us were sick and tired of the shenanigans we had to endure in a handful of various recreational hockey leagues. Not one of them cared even one bit – it seemed like everyone was just a skating dollar sign in their eyes. There was no regard for the safety of players and if there were repercussions to offenders – they were minor and ineffective.

The Pro Hockey Network, affectionately known as the PHN, was created to provide a safe, fun and realistic hockey environment. We take it over the top on so many levels. From announcing the goals and in-game music to a multimedia driven website with press conferences, photos and even a periodical web-TV show – we cover it all. Our goal is to create a unique hockey experience for the rec player who knows that the scouts aren’t out there taking notes on their every action.

Canada is hockey-crazy. We grew up with the game and love it on a level that few can appreciate. It is for the ones that “get us” that we do it. We enjoy creating this atmosphere and look forward to the future evolution of our league. Who knows which way the wind will blow for the PHN – all we know is it will be an enjoyable path to something big.

Thank you,

The PHN Founders
