THE PHN HEAD REFEREE!

Ben Venditti has been a Official with the Greater Toronto Hockey League for the past nine years. He is currently a Level 4 Official in training.  Recently he has been appointed as an Instructor for Hockey Canada Officiating Program which trains and prepare new officials to write their National Exam.


During his time as an Official he has had the privilege of Officiating several players at all levels from OHA to OHL level.


He has refereed several City Championships and been selected to represent the league at eight major Ontario Hockey Federation Championship Cups as a Linesman and Referee.  This past season he had the honour of refereeing his very first Ontario Championship "Gold Medal" game.  His picture was featured on Coaches Corner with Don Cherry himself.  Coast to Coast broadcast.


He has also won the Gus Gordon Award presented annually to the Official who is the most Professional, Dedicated, Committed and
Respected by his peers in the league.


Ben has refereed one International game at the Midget level.  He has Refereed the "All Ontario" Midget Selects Championship and the Major Prospects of the OHA and OHL at the under 18 age group.

His love for the game and many outstanding accomplishments are truly valued and highly respected in the Hockey World.
